I started with zero knowledge with basics of baking. The initial 15 months were a game changer in my life.
The journey started with learning the basics in baking. I consumed information from the internet and started learning how to bake from scratch.
I started with basic recipes for beginners and basics of baking a cake and then slowly headed towards the advanced levels. It always helps to know the basics, the chances of going wrong reduces.
The year 2014 was cyclonic for me. My husband failed in his startup. He took up a project in Pune and we all moved to this new city leaving my job behind.
A new city and a lot of new things to learn. In any new place when you try to settle down, the first few months are to adapt yourself to the new environment.
Whatever happens, happens for the good. It was only after moving to Pune, I starting to realize my passion for baking. And somewhere in July 2016, I decided to transform my passion into my profession.
I could have made enough money for myself by picking a job. However, working 9-5 did not interest me any longer. This time I wanted to work for myself and not for others. I wanted to bake.
The journey from a hobby baker to a baking instructor was not a cake walk. Life might be easy when you have a “Guru” or “God Father” who can enlighten the path of your journey.

Baking of Basics for Beginners
Unfortunately, I did not have a mentor with me. I learned baking basics from the internet, experiments, and mistakes. I had to use the shortfall of a Guru to my benefit. My endless failures in my experiments made me learn all that does not work. Today, I can tell people what will work and what will not and can help people in avoiding those mistakes.

I have no formal education in blogging, website management, food photography, content writing or recipe creation. I am a self-taught person and everything I listed just above is from my own experience.
When I look back at my journey, I realize how much of the hard work it has been for me. Experimental baking, Food Blog, Baking Workshops, and creating YouTube video recipes, I have come a long way. With my continuous blogging, I have become a household name for many.
My sincere thanks to everyone who have helped me learn to bake and now it’s my turn. In my opinion, the best you can give to your society is knowledge and creating possibilities. With this hope, I am writing a series of articles on the basics of baking and beyond.

Thanx sonia for being inspiration to all home bakers…. Sonia I am new to baking but good at cakes not in breads can u please solve my query .. whenever I make bread it doesnt come bouncy I know the reason might b the dough of bread doesnt come together its remains sticky I knead it for more than half an hour but still it remains sticky n not pliable what can b the reason of that
