  • Hi Sonia,
When ever I bake my breads I have yeast smell lingering in my bread …any good brand which does not leave that smell?

  • Can you please tell me if I can use a bread maker, an if I should use the same quantity that the book says 3tspoons to 450g flour thank you Mary

  • Hi sonia, I use SAF instant and also red star…! Found these good as well….have you worked with these before.

  • Hi Sonia
Thanks for this list. I second you regarding blue bird yeast. I have been using it for your recipes because that is the one I get locally in small sachets and it does leave a prominent taste especially in wheat breads. Since I don’t bake so often, my yeast tends to expire and to play safe I do away with it even if large amount of yeast is left. So I am often in two minds to order these yeast in .5 kg packs as get wasted when expired.
Can we still use yeast even after expiry date if it is still doing its job?
