How to make Baked Sweet Potatoes and Honey Salad

Fighting with Vitamin A deficiency? Baked Sweet Potatoes Salad might be the best food for you.

A medium-sized sweet potato is loaded with almost 438% of Vitamin A values required by a person in a day. Compare it with white potato which has only 1% of Vitamin A required value. In addition to Vitamin-A, baked sweet potatoes slices are a rich source of Vitamin C (37%), calcium, potassium, and iron. Certainly, you will not be surprised to see sweet potatoes baked in oven topping the list of healthy foods.

Orange sweet potatoes are known to have anti-carcinogenic properties. However, purple sweet potatoes may be more effective than orange sweet potatoes in staving off cancer. Purple sweet potatoes have shown better results with a positive effect on cancer cell growth. Interested in knowing more medical benefits of sweet potatoes, read them at sweetpotatoes.com

Baked sweet potatoes recipes

Typically the baked sweet potato recipes are savory recipes with lime. However, in this recipe, I have used honey to make this recipe both, sweet and savory. The inclusion of honey makes the salad healthier. Health benefits of honey are detailed in Honey glazed almonds recipe.

Honey is a daily consumable item in my home. Whether it is starting my day with honey lime water or using it in recipes, I am a dire fan of honey. Honey buttermilk bread and Chocolate chip cookies are extremely popular in my audience.

In this oven-baked sweet potatoes I have used a special Italian spice. This spice is called Genoa 7 in One Multi-purpose Spice Blend by Sprig. This spice is a blend of 7 different spices (oregano, thyme, garlic, chilli, onion, cumin, coriander). You can use this spice in dressing for any salad, to marinate, to grill anything, to sprinkle or to make a paste.

While making baked sweet potatoes, I added this aromatic spice and it enhanced the taste of my baked sweet potato salad. My ladoo used to eat maggi magic masala, but once he tasted this, he felt to be more flavourful than maggi magic masala.
